My sister and I have talked about this several times, and I feel like this is something people struggle with fairly regularly: self-image. I’m almost positive that this subject is primarily directed towards ladies but I don’t want to dismiss any gentlemen that may encounter this as well. What does society tell young girls about looks? Maybe…they’re not pretty enough, not skinny enough. What does society tell young men about looks? Maybe…they’re not strong enough, not tall enough. Personally, I feel like these measures of what is considered beautiful have been around for a long time and put a tremendous amount of pressure on young individuals. Junior high and high school is such a delicate time for kids to shape who they are and feel comfortable with what God has blessed them with. But that’s just it- individuals are blessed regardless of the negativity society has to say. There will always be someone that has something critical to point out. I sincerely don’t want anyone to get down on their self-image.

You are created in GOD’S image.
The way God sees us is truly the only thing that matters in this world.

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” –Genesis 1:27

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2
